Our love of beauty and colour is connected to a deep yearning to be at one with nature and its glorious cycle. During the shoot, I was intrigued by the contrast of the overheated nature with the almost artificial colours of the cultivated flowers and high-colour styling. It was like nature was delivering a message that’s easier to ignore when we don’t really look properly.
